Bill Analysis

HB 3593 would allow school districts to offer a course for graduation in computer coding and create a program dedicated to teaching the fundamentals of cyber security.

Vote Recommendation Notes

Our schools struggle to have kids graduate with the basic reading, writing, and mathematics skills necessary for adult life. School should be focusing on these things and not something like coding which is a high level course better suited for postsecondary education.
