Bill Caption
Relating to the allocation of low income housing tax credits.
Fiscal Notes
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
Bill Analysis
This bill would allow the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs to include educational quality as part of the threshold criteria in an application for the allocation of low income tax credits, but prohibit education quality from being considered as a scoring factor.
Vote Recommendation Notes
While we are otherwise opposed to the market distortions created by low income tax credits, given that this bill is procedural in nature, we remain neutral on HB 3274.
