Bill Caption
Relating to the repeal of the management-to-staff ratio requirement for state agencies.
Fiscal Notes
From the LBB: no significant fiscal implication to the state is anticipated.
Bill Analysis
Under current law, each state agency is required to develop
procedures to achieve a management-to-staff ratio of one manager per 11 staff
members. HB 3383 would repeal this provision.
Vote Recommendation Notes
This bill enhances our limited government principle by repealing a manager per staff requirement allowing state agencies to maximize efficiency based on the complexity of their work. We support HB 3833.
