Bill Caption
Relating to before-school and after-school programs established by
public school districts.
Fiscal Notes
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
Bill Analysis
This bill would allow the board of trustees of a public school district to set up before and after school programs for their elementary and middle schools. School districts would be allowed to contract for services with a local childcare provider to facilitate the program.
Vote Recommendation Notes
This bill is permissive and is not a government subsidized program - a program under this bill would only be hosted at the school but run by a private childcare provider. This bill does not affect our liberty principles and we remain neutral.
