Fiscal Notes

From the LBB: an impact of $0 through the biennium ending August 31, 2019.

The bill would make no appropriation but could provide the legal basis for an appropriation of funds to implement the provisions of the bill.

Bill Analysis

HB 3302 would update Sunset review for a series of entities:


The Bandera County River Authority and Groundwater District, Lavaca-Navidad River Authority, and Upper Guadalupe River Authority would be given a 2019 Sunset Date.


The Commission of Licensing and Regulation and Department of Licensing and Regulation, State Board of Plumbing Examiners, Nueces River Authority, San Antonio River Authority, and Trinity River Authority would be given a 2021 Sunset date.


The Lower Neches Valley Authority, Red River Authority, and Sabine River Authority would be given a 2023 Sunset date.


The Office of State-Federal Relations, Teacher Retirement System, Texas Facilities Commission, Texas Real Estate Commission, and the Appraiser Licensing and Certification Board would be given a 2025 Sunset Date.


Regional Education Service Centers, the Maternal Mortality and Morbidity Task Force, the Palliative Care Interdisciplinary Advisory Council, and the Texas Windstorm Insurance Association would be removed from Sunset review.

This is a procedural bill organizing the dates certain agencies, boards, and commissions are subject to sunset review and does not appear to have a connection to our liberty principles. We remain neutral.
