Bill Caption
Relating to a salary bonus for a public school teacher who completes
certain autism training.
Fiscal Notes
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
Bill Analysis
HB 3244 would allow districts the ability to pay teachers more if they are trained in autism education.
Vote Recommendation Notes
We are troubled by the ever increasing cost of public education. This bill however is permissive and does not mandate autism training for its teachers; neither does it mandate a pay increase. For this reason, we remain neutral on this bill.
