Bill Caption
Relating to excluding certain students from the computation of dropout and completion rates for purposes of public school accountability.
Fiscal Notes
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
Bill Analysis
Under current law, the state has certain standards that govern how to compute completion and dropout rates in terms of gauging accountability. This bill would add to the code by mandating that those students who are detained in the juvenile detention facility are not eligible to be counted.
Vote Recommendation Notes
This bill does not have a connection to our liberty principles, therefore we remain neutral.
