Bill Caption
Relating to the regulation and reuse of wastewater.
Fiscal Notes
No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
Bill Analysis
Under current law, there are certain minimum standards for the indoor and outdoor use and reuse of treated graywater and alternative onsite water. HB 2798 is a local bill that would allow Harris County to implement a pilot program to reuse any form of on-site treated wastewater at a county facility for surface irrigation and toilet flushing.
Vote Recommendation Notes
Given the local and limited nature of this bill, HB 2798 neither uplifts nor offends our liberty principles, therefore we remain neutral.
