Bill Caption
Relating to funding for certain apprenticeship training programs.
Fiscal Notes
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
Bill Analysis
This bill would remove the requirement that apprenticeship training programs have to be partnered with school districts. Additionally, HB 2790 would allow these independent apprenticeship committees to receive funding, as long as they maintain audit trails and provide records of receipts for all expenditures.
Vote Recommendation Notes
Removing requirements that have apprenticeship training programs be a part of an existing district frees up these programs to pursue other educational pursuits, affirming our personal responsibility liberty principle. For this reason, we support this bill.
