Bill Caption
Relating to submission of reports by a physician assistant under the workers' compensation system.
Fiscal Notes
No significant fiscal implication to the state is anticipated.
Bill Analysis
HB 2546 would amend the Labor Code to allow a treating doctor to delegate to a licensed physician assistant the authority to complete and sign a work
status report regarding an injured employee’s ability to return to work.
Vote Recommendation Notes
This bill enhances our limited government principle by decreasing regulation on who may fill out a report required by the workers' compensation system. We support HB 2546.
