Bill Caption
Relating to the compensation provided to the governing body of certain special districts.
Fiscal Notes
No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
Bill Analysis
HB 2504 would entitle a commissioner of an emergency services district to receive compensation in the same manner and amount as a director. This would raise their compensation amount from a maximum of $50 per day to $150 per day for each day their duties are performed, with an annual cap of $7,200.
Vote Recommendation Notes
While we remain neutral due to the limited nature of this bill, we recommend that a threefold raise in daily compensation should be confirmed by their respective districts to be financially feasible before it is enacted.
