Bill Analysis

House Bill 2501 would amend current Insurance Code by including nonemergency medical transportation services under contract with the state in the definition of a transportation network company. By expanding the definition to include nonemergency medical transportation services, nonemergency medical transportation services would be subject to insurance requirements for transportation network company drivers.

Vote Recommendation Notes

House Bill 2501 neither uplifts nor offends our liberty principles, therefore we remain neutral.
