Estimated Two-year Net Impact to General Revenue Related Funds for HB 23, Committee Report 1st House, Substituted: a negative impact of ($258,408) through the biennium ending August 31, 2019.

Bill Analysis

HB 23 would establish a grant program that would make grants available for school districts that employ innovative, evidence based techniques in educating students with autism.

Vote Recommendation Notes

This bill would create more state expenditure and responsibility on special education services in a fiscally constrained year. For this reason, we oppose this bill as it expands the cost of government.
