Bill Caption
Relating to fixing the median cost of high-cost gas wells.
Fiscal Notes
No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
Bill Analysis
Under current law, certain high-cost gas wells are eligible for certain tax exemptions and reductions. HB 2277 would fix the median cost upon initial application for a tax exemption in order to apply that same cost in the case of an amended application.
Vote Recommendation Notes
Given the procedural nature of this bill which codifies existing practices without creating or expanding a tax exemption, HB 2277 does not appear to have a connection to our liberty principles, therefore we remain neutral.
