Bill Analysis

This bill would modify the regulations of service contracts. If passed, a service contract may provide for the replacement of a motor vehicle key or key fob if it were to be lost, stolen, or inoperable. In addition, a provider would not be required to deduct the amount of any claims paid under a service contract from the amount of a refund of the service contract, or the amount that a service contract holder is entitled to.

Vote Recommendation Notes

This is a procedural bill regarding service contracts and does not appear to have a connection to our liberty principles, therefore we remain neutral.
