Bill Analysis

HB 2252 would establish a joint interim committee to continue to study the creation of a coastal barrier system to prevent storm surge damage to gulf beaches or coastal ports, industry, or property. The committee would be required to provide a report on its findings and any recommendations to the governor and the legislature by December, 2018.
