Bill Analysis

This bill would require the Department of State Health Services to submit a report to the governor and the legislature not later than December 1 of each even-numbered year that contains a report of outbreaks of vaccine preventable diseases and immunization exemption information with identifying information redacted. The bill would also require each school district to provide the department with immunization exemption information (with identifying information redacted) for the district and each campus, which would be made public on the department’s website. Lastly, the bill would require the districts to give information on immunization records at the request of parents of children enrolled on that campus.
