Bill Analysis

HB 2121 would amend the Government Code to allow the awarding of attorney fees in breach of contract cases against the state if the breach is for engineering, architectural, or construction materials or services and the amount in controversy is under $250,000. 

Vote Recommendation Notes

This is a procedural bill allowing the payment of damages in certain breach of contract cases against the state that does not appear to have a connection to our liberty principles. We remain neutral.
