Bill Analysis
HB 20 would amend the Government Code to require that no later than 30 days after a government contract is awarded, amended, modified, renewed, or extended, a state agency must give written notice to the Legislative Budget Board for reviewal. Each state agency would also be required to post on its site a link to the Legislative Budget Board’s contracts database.
Vote Recommendation Notes
This is a procedural bill regarding state contract reporting and does not appear to have a connection to our liberty principles, however it does seem like sound public policy. We remain neutral.
