Bill Caption
Relating to psychological counseling for certain grand jurors.
Fiscal Notes
From the LBB: no significant fiscal implication to the state is anticipated.
Bill Analysis
Under current law a commissioners court may provide up to 10 hours of psychological counseling to a juror who served on a criminal trial involving graphic evidence or
testimony and who requests the counseling within 180 days after the jury is dismissed.
This legislation would allow a commissioners court to provide the same counseling for grand jurors under the same circumstances.
Vote Recommendation Notes
This legislation is administrative and permissive with no apparent connection to our liberty principles and we remain neutral.
