Bill Analysis

HB 2082 would amend the Labor Code to require the office of Injured Employee Public Counsel to designate an employee to act as a first responder liaison. The liaison would assist an injured first responder and the ombudsman during a workers’ compensation administrative dispute resolution process. The liaison would be required to have the same training as an ombudsman.

Vote Recommendation Notes

This bill is procedural relating to the administration of the office of Injured Employee Public Counsel and therefore not connected to our liberty principles. We remain neutral on this bill.
