Bill Caption
Relating to service and filing requirements for a party seeking judicial review in certain workers' compensation cases.
Fiscal Notes
No significant fiscal implication to the state is anticipated.
Bill Analysis
HB 2061 would amend the Labor Code to require a party who initiated a workers’ compensation dispute proceeding to file a proposed settlement or agreed judgement with the Workers’ Compensation Division no later than 30 days before the court is scheduled for judicial review. If the terms are not described in the proposal, the party must file a separate document that fully describes the terms of the proposed settlement or agreed judgement.
Vote Recommendation Notes
This is a procedural bill that updates filing requirements for workers' compensation cases and does not appear to have a connection to our liberty principles, therefore we remain neutral.
