Bill Analysis
HB 1898 would have the Department of Information Resources and Texas State Library and Archives Commission conduct a study on state agency digital data storage and records management practices and the costs to the state. A report would be sent to the Lieutenant Governor, Speaker of the House, and appropriate committees with recommendations for reducing costs.
Vote Recommendation Notes
The conducting of a study regarding storage and records management neither uplifts or offends our liberty principles, therefore we remain neutral.
