Bill Analysis

Under current law, the hunting, fishing, and possession of certain animals and at certain times is prohibited under the Wildlife Conservation Act of 1983. HB 1891 would create an exemption allowing members of the Kickapoo Traditional Tribe of Texas to hunt antlerless white-tailed deer for religious ceremonial purposes, as subject to certain conditions.
