Bill Analysis

HB 1689 would amend the Civil Practice and Remedies Code to hold political subdivisions, that self-insure either individually or collectively, and the Office of Risk Management liable for workers' compensation sanctions, administrative penalties, and other remedies.

Vote Recommendation Notes

This bill updates workers' compensation liability for political subdivisions and the Office of Risk Management and does not appear to have a connection to our liberty principles, therefore we remain neutral.
