Bill Analysis

This bill would add concentrated animal feeding operations to the list of critical infrastructure facilities that a person cannot take images of with an unmanned aircraft. HB 1643 would also prohibit using a drone to capture images of various types of properties related to oil and gas that are enclosed by a fence or other barrier designed to exclude intruders. This bill would also include a new exemption for individuals operating the drone in compliance with federal law.
