From the LBB: Estimated Two-year Net Impact to General Revenue Related Funds for HB 1622, As Introduced: a negative impact of ($12,844,072) through the biennium ending August 31, 2019. The bill would make no appropriation but could provide the legal basis for an appropriation of funds to implement the provisions of the bill.

This bill would change the minimum personal needs allowance for certain residents of long-term care facilities from $60 to $75 per month  

Vote Recommendation Notes

This bill violates the principle of limited government by increasing the amount of a state subsidy which the Legislative Budget Board estimates will cost more than $6 Million per year. For this reason, we oppose this bill.
