HB 1606 would amend the Government Code to permit the Texas Military Department to use appropriated money to purchase food and beverages for military housing, service members on duty, and students in the Texas ChalleNGe Academy.

Texas Military Department has been doing this for years without codification. This is a procedural bill that updates the code to reflect the practices of the Texas Military Department and does not appear to have a connection to our liberty principles, therefore we remain neutral.
