Bill Analysis

This bill would require the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation on request to provide a copy of a licensed hearing instrument fitter and dispenser's records to a person who is or was a client of the license holder if the records pertain to that person and that person is involved in a complaint against the license holder.

Vote Recommendation Notes

This bill is in keeping with individual liberty since it allows a person to obtain records pertaining to himself when filing a complaint against a hearing instrument fitter or dispenser as should be their right. For this reason, we support this legislation.
