Bill Analysis
Under current law, the Transportation Code makes provision for the naming of highways. HB 1483 would designate the section of Highway 191 located in Ector County as the Chris Kyle Memorial Highway. This bill would also require the placement of indicators and markers for this section of the highway.
Vote Recommendation Notes
Highways, being property of the State, are under its complete control. We therefore remain neutral on all legislation relating to the naming or designating of state highways as these bills do not negatively or positively affect our principles.
