Bill Caption
Relating to the sanitation and safety requirements for certain artificial bodies of water maintained for public recreational purposes.
Fiscal Notes
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
Bill Analysis
Under current law, public swimming pools are required to adhere to certain health and safety regulations. HB 1468 would differentiate and apply the same provisions to artificial swimming lagoons.
Vote Recommendation Notes
This bill infringes on the principle of limited government by adding new regulations to artificial swimming lagoons. For this reason, we oppose HB 1468.
