Bill Analysis

Currently, there are various types of public employees and former employees whose personal information is not available as public information. The particular public information includes home address, home telephone number, emergency contact information, social security numbers, and family members. If this bill passes current or former district attorneys, criminal district attorneys, or county/municipal attorneys, and their current and former employees, would not have to share the aforementioned personal information. Their jurisdiction would have to pertain to criminal law or child protective services to qualify for their information to not be made public.

Vote Recommendation Notes

There may be sufficient need for the individuals who are the subject of this bill to be afforded protection of their public information. However, this bill has no direct connection to our principles, therefore we remain neutral.
