Bill Analysis
HB 1186 would outline the procedure for a property owner who enters into a tax abatement agreement with the Dallas County Utility and Reclamation District. The individual must be a owner of a single-family residential property to be exempt from a portion of the taxable value of the property. The tax assessor-collector for the district or a person designated by the tax assessor-collector may file an application for the exemption on behalf of the property owner with the chief appraiser for the appraisal district in which the property is located.
Vote Recommendation Notes
HB 1186 is a local procedural bill which does not appear to have a connection to our liberty principles, therefore we remain neutral.
