Bill Analysis
This bill would specify that individuals released on parole or mandatory supervision who otherwise may not be in a child safety zone, are allowed to be in, or within, the distance decided by the parole board as long as they in or going immediately to or from a parole office, premises of a program the individual is required to attend, a residential facility or residence the individual is required to reside in, or any other authorized facility or residence.
Vote Recommendation Notes
This bill upholds our liberty principle of limited government by specifying particular requirements on individuals released on parole or mandatory supervision. As long as they are conducting legitimate business, and are merely passing by a child safety zone, they should not be penalized.
