SCR 39 seeks to request the legislature to respectfully urge the Hidalgo County Healthcare
District to lower it's tax rate upon establishment as to not further burden the citizens of Hidalgo County.
Vote Recommendation Notes
SCR would simply have the Texas legislature request the Hidalgo County Healthcare
District to lower their tax rate upon establishment. Hidalgo County is already one of the most heavily taxed counties in the state and country. Provided that the Hidalgo County Healthcare
District is established, this resolution would seek to protect the citizens of Hidalgo County from overly burdensome taxes. We support this legislation.
