Bill Analysis
The comptroller of the state of Texas maintains a list of companies that contract with the governments of Sudan or Iran. Currently, state pension funds are required to notify the comptroller of any listed companies in which they own direct or indirect holdings within 14 days of receiving the list. SB 940 would amend Government Code to allow state pension funds 30 days to notify the comptroller.
