Bill Analysis

This legislation would expand eligibility for the Texas Military Preparedness Commission loans through the Texas Military Value Revolving Loan Fund (TMVRL)  to more economic development projects, and increase the amount the Texas Military Preparedness Commission may grant to local governments through the Defense Economic Adjustment Assistance Grant Program (DEAAG).

Vote Recommendation Notes

This legislation would not appropriate any funding. This bill would only adjust the criteria to receive TMVRL loans, and the amount a municipality can apply for when submitting requests for DEAAG funding. Because this neither uplifts nor offends our liberty principles, we remain neutral on this legislation.
