Bill Analysis

SB 1913 would amend Government Code to provide that courts can establish a court administrator system in a county that has more than one district court or statutory county court.  The bill would authorize judges of the district county courts or the statutory county courts to designate local court divisions and the duties of the court administrator, who would cooperate with regional, presiding, and local administrative judges and state agencies. It would establish the court administrator is appointed by the judges of the district county courts or the statutory county courts and serves at the pleasure of those judges.

Vote Recommendation Notes

This bill would make mostly administrative, clerical, and non-substantive updates to current code with no discernible connection to our liberty principles, therefore we are neutral on SB 1913.
