Bill Analysis
The bill would require the Texas Veterans Commission to conduct a needs assessment, on an even numbered year, that
would direct the allocation of grants from the Fund for Veterans Assistance.
Vote Recommendation Notes
This bill would assist in the dissemination of services to possibly underserved veterans communities. This needs assessment may be beneficial in identifying the underserved and possibly saving money by identifying services that are underused or no longer needed. This legislation neither uplifts nor offends our liberty principles, therefore we are neutral.
