Bill Analysis
This bill amends a lot of the language passed by the 83rd Legislature regarding the Occupations Code relating to occupational licenses for military service members,
military veterans, and military spouses. The current law is confusing and leaves significant room for interpretation. This bill makes the legislation a lot clearer as to the purposes of this section of the Occupations Code.
Vote Recommendation Notes
This legislation creates no new occupational licensing requirements, fees, or other burdens to occupational licensure. It would amend the Occupations Code with the goal of clearing up definitions of who meets the criteria qualify for this program. This legislation neither affirms nor offends our liberty principles therefore we are neutral.
