No amendments or modifications have been made to the bill in House committee.

Recommendation:

We support this legislation under the individual liberty principle. This legislation would allow certain members of the military to cast a ballot electronically while on active duty. It is important that our men and women in uniform can still exercise their individual liberty to participate in the electoral process, even while overseas. This is an improvement over paper ballots for overseas service members because there are often issues with those ballots being returned in a timely fashion.

We support SB 1115 which is being carried in the House by Representative James White.
