Bill Analysis

HB 885 would amend code to raise the population threshold of counties with county bail bond boards that are required to only meet at least four times a year during specified months or as needed at the call of the presiding officer. It raises the threshold from counties with less than 50,000 to counties with less than 150,000.

Vote Recommendation Notes

This bill is administrative, though there is a possibility it may increase government efficiency by not mandating a monthly meeting. We remain neutral on HB 885.
