This legislation would amend elections code to require all personal financial statements be filed electronically with the Texas Ethics Commission. 

Vote Recommendation Notes

We support this legislation under the personal responsibility principle. This legislation would update financial disclosure laws relating to the Texas Ethics Commission to the 21st century by requiring all financial disclosure forms for personal information be filed electronically. This legislation promotes personal responsibility, by allowing the filing of these forms more efficiently by means of electronic submission, which also will allow easier and more efficient record keeping at the Texas Ethics Commission for publication purposes.
