Relating to the election of certain county bail bond board members.

No significant fiscal implication to the State or units of local government is anticipated.  

Bill Analysis

HB 2894 would amend the chapter entitled “Regulation of Bail Bond Sureties” within the Occupations Code to reflect changes to the election of bail bond board to include a representative of the criminal defense attorneys. Criminal attorneys would also now be allowed to vote for this representative.
