This legislation would lower the population threshold from
550,000 to 450,000 so that Montgomery County may continue using the tow
rotation list.
This legislation was voted out of the Senate Business and Commerce committee with no changes.
First chamber analysis below:
Currently, Montgomery County uses a tow rotation list that
puts tow trucks on a list to be called out in the event of an accident. This
legislation would allow Montgomery County to continue using the tow rotation list
by lowering the population requirement under current statute.
We stand neutral on HB 2213 since this legislation simply adjusts bracketing requirements due to population growth in the county and does not affect our liberty principles.
