Vote Recommendation Notes

5/25/15 update:

This bill is substantively the same as when we reported on it in its original chamber. We continue to support this legislation.

Original chamber recommendation:

We support this legislation for its committment to personal responsibility by working to understand and establish a procedure to implement best practices, and limited government by including local municipalities to determine what is best for their regions. Under this bill, TxDOT would undergo a review process to update/create funding categories and formulas by the TTC and UTP, and would also require TxDOT to seek and implement advice or input from MPO's during this process.  Finally, this bill would require TxDOT to implement a 10-year plan for allocated funds for the projects.
