HB 1169 would make rendition statements and the information contained in
those statements along with income
and expense information related to a property filed with an
appraisal office is confidential. Information voluntarily disclosed to an appraisal office or the
comptroller about real or personal property sales prices after a
promise it will be held confidential.

HB 1169 would simply protect personal information, whether voluntarily disclosed or not, given to an appraisal office or the comptroller confidential. This simple provision would protect sensitive personal information from public eyes. We support this legislation.
