Bill Analysis

Summary: SB 407 would amend the Occupations Code to no longer require Private Security Act licensees to also hold an Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Contractor license in order to install home systems that can control multiple home appliances.

Analysis: SB 407 loosens regulations to ensure that certain licensed professionals are not in danger of breaking the law when installing a home security and air conditioning component. We support SB 407.
