Bill Analysis

Summary: SB 383 would remove the state laws relating to the sale and use of refrigerants. Currently, the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulations (TLDR) as well as the federal Environmental Protection Agency regulate this area and there exist many redundancies and several inconsistencies.

Analysis: SB 383 would limit government and clarify regulations. This legislation will eliminate a duplicative layer of regulation. We support SB 383.
