Bill Analysis

Summary: HB 3103 would require political parties to post certain information online rather than on a bulletin board at a county courthouse, as current law requires.

Analysis: Currently, political parties must post certain information on a bulletin board at the county court house, and must deliver certain information in person or by mail. This legislation updates the code to be in alignment with modern communications technology. This effectively lifts regulations that are outdated, and allows the political parties to post notices and communicate information electronically rather than by more labor intensive and less effective means. We support HB 3103.
